SHE IS A SLAVE OF TECHNOLOGY IN A HYPOCRITICAL VENERATION OF LIFE AND A SLAVE OF
PSEUDO-LAY AND RELIGIOUS IDEOLOGY
She has been in a permanent vegetative coma for 16 years
She is being force fed and force-hydrated even though she would have been
opposed to it
It is ideologically unsound to confuse the right to oppose
and the right to suspend so called “life support” treatment with euthanasia (the
active will to die).
It is ideologically unsound to take advantage of the horror people have for the
meditechnical practices of “life support” (such as forced ventilation and
forced-feeding) imposed indefinitely, in order to make legal euthanasia more
acceptable with the intention of institutionalizing an active request to die.
The church hierarchy is guilty because, under the pretext of being pro-life, they will not allow Eluana to be freed and at the same time, they support the false concept of “brain death”. They spread propaganda about organ donation or rather beating heart organ harvesting, in the full knowledge that a comatose patient is killed to assist the transplant business. They also falsely over-emphasize the sufferance of a natural death due to the suspension of nutrition/hydration; many old people slowly die of consumption because they progressively forgo food and drink. Is the church not solely defending the generous fees their clinics receive for those in a vegetative coma who need very little assistance?
Pseudo-lay-politicians, those who are pro euthanasia are in bad faith because they are always in favour of death or experimentation in order to assist the unscrupulous scientific business and manipulate the declaration of death of both humans and embryos to suit their ends. In fact they agree with “brain death” as imposed by law. The objective of scientific research today is not to further life, it is for profit; it is to have power over men, not to benefit them. Otherwise how could one explain the apparently opposite courses taken by the medical contingent in certain situations. There is a common denominator: profit and power.
Both ideologies embrace the murder of those who want to live by imposing “brain death” in 6 hours. The church, which declares that it is pro-life, only demonstrates this by “technologically forcing life” on someone for 16 years who would prefer a natural life and death.
In our opinion, the origin of the problem lies in the conduct of the doctors at the time of Eluana’s hospitalization in 1992. Was everything possibile done to prevent vegetative coma? If they had drained the intracranial haematoma, the patient would have recovered or she would have died and would have avoided being in a vegetative state. She should not have been force-fed especially since law forbids the removal of this invasive treatment. Eluana should have been treated within natural bounds. Once again medicine is taking the place of individuals and would like to determine fate.
If there is any doubt as to Eluana’s wishes, her mother and father should decide. It cannot be the decision of businesspersons, experimenters, or politicians. Especially since, even though it is against the law, doctors ask the parents or relatives of a beating heart so called “brain dead” patient for their signature, in order to harvest their organs and effectively kill them. It is unacceptable that 25 neurologists who regularly declare “brain death” after 6 hours on “pulsating” people oppose the “liberating” sentence of the Milan Appeal Court.
